BerbeeWalsh Department of Emergency Medicine and UW Health Med Flight physicians presented at the 2024 Wisconsin EMS Association conference, being held in Green Bay from Jan. 30-Feb. 2.

Faculty physicians speaking and teaching at WEMSA 2024 included:

  • Dr. Michael Kim, pediatric EMS medical director for the UW EMS Consortium, “Pediatric Emergencies – Drowning” (Jan. 30) & “EMS for Children Skills Labs” (Jan. 31)
  • Dr. Kerry Ahrens, UW Health Med Flight physician, “Toxicology Pearls: Common and Uncommon Toxidromes” (Feb. 1)

The Wisconsin EMS Association (WEMSA) was founded in 1973 and is the largest state-level EMS association in the country.  WEMSA represents and supports the views and interests of its membership in Wisconsin communities by promoting education, sharing information, and facilitating legislative action.
