The UW Health Emergency Education Center supports health professional education and training needs throughout the region that meet American Heart Association guidelines, from CPR to advanced life support courses and more.
The Department of Emergency Medicine partners with the Emergency Education Center to develop high-yield, emergency and medical care educational programming for all levels of the prehospital community, with our prehospital faculty frequently serving as course instructors.

Physician Engagement
Our Prehospital faculty help to develop, review, and approve the Emergency Education Center’s educational programming, and our physicians regularly instruct through webinars and in-situ simulation training. We also work closely with UW Health’s EMS Liaison to coordinate outreach, quality assurance, and continuing education planning with regional services.
Statewide Leadership
UW Health has provided training for Primary Paramedic students since the 1970’s and is one of only a handful of centers in Wisconsin to achieve accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation. The EEC also teaches an advanced Critical Care Transport Course and is the only site licensed in Wisconsin to conduct The Difficult Airway Course: EMS™.
