Dr. Bernardoni completed both her medical degree and one-year UW Institute for Clinical & Translational Research-Shapiro Research Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin. She then went on to complete her emergency medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati, where she served as Air Care Resident Assistant Medical Director during her final year. She continued her training at the University of Cincinnati for a two-year anesthesia critical care fellowship.
Currently, Dr. Bernardoni divides her clinical time between the emergency department, cardiac critical care, and UW Health Med Flight. This split allows her to practice across the continuum of care from prehospital to inpatient settings. Her professional interests include bringing advanced critical care education to both prehospital and emergency department providers. In her free time, Dr. Bernardoni enjoys cooking, yoga, Great Courses audio lectures, and spending time with her husband and two children.
