Dr. Painter completed medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin and graduated from the emergency medicine residency program at the University of Wisconsin in 2013. Since completing residency, Dr. Painter has served as an emergency physician for BayCare Clinic in northern Wisconsin. He is the medical director for the emergency department at Aurora Medical Center – Manitowoc County. He is also the medical director for the firefighters and critical care–trained paramedics at the Two Rivers Fire Department and all EMS services in Kewanee County. Dr. Painter also works as a ring-side physician for mixed martial arts events in Wisconsin and is the HERC medical advisor for northeastern Wisconsin. He has provided training in other areas in the world, including providing EMS training in rural Tanzania.
In addition to his passion for air medical transport, teaching and prehospital care, Dr. Painter’s hobbies include space exploration, motocross racing and automobile restoration/modification.
