Dr. Andrews is an assistant professor of emergency medicine and Assistant Director of Medical Student Education for the Department of Emergency Medicine. She also serves as Assistant Block Leader for Acute Care for the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Andrews grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and graduated from the UW School of Medicine and Public Health and its Training in Urban Medicine and Public Health (TRIUMPH) program. She completed her emergency medicine residency at Cook County Hospital, serving as chief resident in her final year, before completing a fellowship in global and local health equity at Boston Medical Center with a focus on immigrant/refugee health and reproductive health care. Prior to medical school, Dr. Andrews completed her Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology and global health at Columbia University, focusing on maternal and child nutrition in rural Nepal. Her academic interests include global health, health equity, and women’s health. In her free time, Dr. Andrews enjoys yoga, cooking, running, and traveling.
