Dr. Andrews grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and graduated from medical school at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, where she was part of the Training in Urban Medicine and Public Health (TRIUMPH) program. She completed her emergency medicine residency at Cook County Hospital, serving as chief resident in her final year. She completed a fellowship in Global and Local Health Equity at Boston Medical Center with a focus on immigrant/refugee health and reproductive health care. Prior to medical school, Dr. Andrews completed her MPH degree in epidemiology and global health at Columbia University, focusing on maternal and child nutrition in rural Nepal. Her academic interests include global health, health equity, and women’s health. In her free time, Dr. Andrews enjoys yoga, cooking, running, and traveling.
