She returned to her home state after completing emergency medicine residency and emergency ultrasound fellowship programs at the University of Massachusetts. While working in the Madison area community for five years as an emergency physician and emergency ultrasound director, she spent time teaching point-of-care ultrasound to emergency medicine residents at UW each month. She joined the UW BerbeeWalsh Department of Emergency Medicine full-time in 2015 and as an attending physician at the William S. Middleton Veterans Hospital emergency department in 2016, and has been loving the patient care and teaching opportunities at both institutions since. She is active in medical student, resident and faculty education with a focus in point-of-care ultrasound, and she is active in national groups promoting point-0f-care ultrasound in emergency medicine and the VA.
