Dr. Young completed his emergency medicine training with ProMedica in southeast Michigan. After his residency, he went on to complete a fellowship in Emergency Medical Services and Disaster Medicine with the University of Texas in Houston and the Houston Fire Department. After his fellowship, Dr. Young returned to the Midwest and now works as a community EMS physician in Eau Claire, Wisc. He is the medical director of many regional EMS agencies, including the Eau Claire Fire Department. Dr. Young is also the only physician on the Eau Claire County Regional SWAT team.

Dr. Young is board certified in emergency medicine and emergency medical services. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of Emergency Medical Services (FAEMS).
