Dr. Young completed his emergency medicine training with ProMedica in southeast Michigan. After his residency, he went on to complete a one-year fellowship in Emergency Medical Services and Disaster Medicine with the University of Texas in Houston and the Houston Fire Department. After his fellowship, Dr. Young returned to the Midwest and now works as a community EMS physician in Eau Claire, WI. He is the medical director of many regional EMS agencies to include the Eau Claire Fire Department, Chippewa Falls Fire Department, and the Chippewa Fire District. Dr. Young is board certified in emergency medicine and emergency medical services, and is a Fellow of the Academy of Emergency Medical Services (FAEMS).
His personal interests within medicine include resuscitation and emergency cardiology. Outside of healthcare, Dr. Young enjoys spending his time with his wife and two sons exploring everything that the Eau Claire area has to offer.
