Dr. Lai is a part-time faculty physician and clinical assistant professor at the University Hospital emergency department. A native of New York City, he completed his undergraduate degree at Cornell University and medical school training at Stony Brook University in New York. Dr. Lai completed residency training in emergency medicine at the University of Wisconsin, followed by a medical education fellowship with the department. He was also a former flight physician with the UW Health Med Flight helicopter EMS program. Dr. Lai currently works as an emergency medicine physician at several community hospitals in south central Wisconsin and serves as medical director of Stoughton EMS.
