Dr. Joe-Ann Moser serves as Assistant Program Director for the residency program and Director of Resident Evaluation and Assessment. She leads resident assessment and feedback efforts, chairing the Clinical Competency and Academic Improvement committees. She also directs resident research and oversees Evidence-Based Updates, the department’s bimonthly journal club.

Dr. Moser earned her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and a master’s in chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a year of respiratory virus research at the National Institutes of Health. She received her medical degree with distinction in medical education and global health and completed emergency medicine residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She went on to complete a fellowship in education scholarship at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and is currently pursuing a master’s in health professions education at the University of Illinois Chicago.
