Medical student researchers present emergency medicine projects at School of Medicine and Public Health research forum

Three medical students were matched with emergency medicine faculty mentors for the 2025 Shapiro Summer Research Program. This research program at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health provides opportunities for medical students to conduct research under the mentorship of UW faculty mentors during the summer between their first and second year of medical school.

Each year, more than 130 students present their work through podium and poster presentations during the annual Medical Student Research Forum, held on November 24, 2025, at the Health Sciences Learning Center.

Below is a list of medical students who are presenting research projects in emergency medicine, including the project title, abstract, and faculty mentor from the Department of Emergency Medicine.
